Nel sottosistema eBPF, che consente di eseguire gestori all'interno del kernel Linux in una speciale macchina virtuale con JIT, \u00e8 stata identificata una vulnerabilit\u00e0 (CVE-2021-3600) che permette a un utente locale non privilegiato di ottenere l'esecuzione del proprio codice a livello di kernel Linux. Il problema \u00e8 causato da un'erronea troncatura dei registri a 32 bit durante l'esecuzione delle operazioni \"div\" e \"mod\", il che pu\u00f2 portare alla lettura e scrittura di dati al di fuori dell'area di memoria allocata. <\/p>\n

La vulnerabilit\u00e0 \u00e8 stata introdotta a causa di una correzione errata della divisione per zero a 32 bit nella versione 4.15, che \u00e8 stata anche retrocompatibile per le versioni 4.4.x, 4.9.x e 4.14.x. L'esploitazione della vulnerabilit\u00e0 \u00e8 possibile per i kernel a partire dalla versione 4.14, in cui \u00e8 stato modificato il metodo di tracciamento dei valori nel verificatore BPF. Il problema \u00e8 stato risolto nel kernel Linux 5.11.
