Gli sviluppatori di Ubuntu hanno iniziato a convertire i pacchetti deb per utilizzare l'algoritmo zstd, che permetter\u00e0 di aumentare quasi del doppio la velocit\u00e0 di installazione dei pacchetti, con un piccolo aumento delle loro dimensioni (~6%). \u00c8 interessante notare che il supporto per l'uso di zstd \u00e8 stato aggiunto in apt e dpkg gi\u00e0 nel 2018 con il rilascio di Ubuntu 18.04, ma non \u00e8 stato utilizzato per la compressione dei pacchetti.
