Google ha annunciato l'intenzione di aggiungere in Chrome 94 la modalit\u00e0 HTTPS-First, simile alla modalit\u00e0 HTTPS Only gi\u00e0 presente in Firefox 83. Quando si tenta di aprire una risorsa non crittografata tramite HTTP, il browser tenter\u00e0 prima di accedere al sito HTTPS e, se quest'operazione fallisce, verr\u00e0 mostrato all'utente un avviso che informa della mancanza di supporto per HTTPS insieme alla proposta di aprire il sito senza crittografia. In Chrome 94, la nuova modalit\u00e0 sar\u00e0 disponibile come opzione da attivare separatamente, ma in futuro Google prevede di attivare HTTPS-First di default per tutti gli utenti (Mozilla ha piani simili per attivare HTTPS Only di default in Firefox). <\/p>\n

Secondo le statistiche di Google, attualmente oltre il 90% delle richieste in Chrome vengono effettuate utilizzando HTTPS. Si prevede che l'aggiunta di HTTPS-First possa migliorare questa percentuale.
