\u00c8 stato rilasciato il progetto Siduction 2021.2, che sviluppa una distribuzione Linux orientata al desktop, basata su Debian Sid (unstable). Si segnala che la preparazione di questa nuova versione \u00e8 iniziata circa un anno fa, ma ad aprile 2020 il principale sviluppatore del progetto, Alf Gaida, ha smesso di comunicare, e da allora non si \u00e8 saputo pi\u00f9 nulla; gli altri sviluppatori non sono riusciti a chiarire cosa fosse successo. Siduction \u00e8 un fork di Aptosid, nato a luglio 2011. La principale differenza rispetto ad Aptosid \u00e8 l'uso di una versione pi\u00f9 recente di KDE come ambiente utente, proveniente dal repository sperimentale Qt-KDE. Inoltre, le versioni del sistema operativo sono basate su versioni aggiornate di Xfce, LXDE, Cinnamon e LXQt (le versioni basate su GNOME e MATE sono escluse a causa della mancanza di supporto). Sono disponibili anche una versione minimalista di X.Org basata sul window manager Fluxbox e una versione 'noX', fornita senza ambiente grafico per gli utenti che desiderano assemblare il proprio sistema. <\/p>\n

Il nuovo rilascio include le versioni dei desktop KDE Plasma 5.20.5 (inclusa una build aggiuntiva con Plasma 5.22.4), LXQt 0.16.0, Cinnamon 4.8.6.2, Xfce 4.16 e Lxde 11. Il kernel Linux \u00e8 aggiornato alla versione 5.13.6 e il gestore di sistema Systemd alla 247.3-6. Il database dei pacchetti \u00e8 sincronizzato con il repository Debian Unstable alla data del 28 luglio. Nelle build di Xorg e noX, cos\u00ec come nella seconda build con Plasma 5.22.4, per impostazione predefinita l'agente iwd \u00e8 utilizzato per connettersi a una rete wireless invece di wpa_supplicant (nelle altre build iwd \u00e8 fornito come opzione).
