Modifiche principali in Debian 11.0:

In systemd, a unified cgroup hierarchy (cgroup v2) is enabled by default. Cgroups v2 can be used, for example, to limit memory consumption, CPU resources, and I/O. The key difference between cgroups v2 and v1 is the application of a common cgroup hierarchy for all types of resources, instead of separate hierarchies for allocating CPU resources, managing memory consumption, and for I/O. Separate hierarchies led to difficulties in organizing interactions between handlers and caused additional kernel resource overhead when applying rules for processes mentioned in different hierarchies. For those who do not plan to switch to cgroup v2, the option to continue using cgroups v1 is still available.

In systemd, a separate logging system is enabled (the systemd-journald service is activated), which is saved in the directory /var/log/journal/ and does not affect the traditional logging done by processes like rsyslog (users can now remove rsyslog and rely solely on systemd-journald). In addition to the systemd-journal group, users in the adm group have gained read access to the log information. The journalctl utility has added support for filtering using regular expressions.

A new driver for the exFAT filesystem is enabled by default in the kernel, meaning the exfat-fuse package is no longer required. It also includes the exfatprogs package with a new set of utilities for creating and checking exFAT filesystems (the old set, exfat-utils, remains available for installation but is not recommended for use).

Official support for the mips architecture has been discontinued.

By default, the yescrypt algorithm is now used for password hashing instead of SHA-512.

The ability to use tools for managing isolated containers with Podman has been added, including as a transparent replacement for Docker.

[702

post-101018","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-novosti-interneta

 <!-- All in One SEO 5.0.0.1 -
