Tutti gli utenti della versione stabile del browser Chrome sono stati informati del cambiamento, che attiva di default il nuovo codice per la gestione della produzione sui sistemi con il server X, basato sull'uso del layer Ozone, che astrae l'interazione con il sottosistema grafico. L'uso di Ozone consente il supporto di X11 e Wayland in un'unica build di Chrome, senza legarsi a un sottosistema grafico specifico. Il vecchio backend, che supporta solo il funzionamento tramite X11, \u00e8 previsto per essere dichiarato obsoleto e rimosso nel tempo dal codice sorgente. <\/p>\n

L'indipendenza dalle caratteristiche di costruzione dell'interfaccia grafica nei diversi sistemi operativi in Chrome \u00e8 realizzata attraverso un proprio stack grafico cross-platform chiamato Aura. Aura funge da gestore di finestre (shell di Aura), operando tramite un compositore proprietario server<\/a> e utilizza le risorse GPU disponibili per accelerare le operazioni grafiche. Per la formazione degli elementi dell'interfaccia viene utilizzato il toolkit grafico Aura UI, che fornisce un proprio set di widget, finestre di dialogo, controlli e gestori di eventi. Dallo stack grafico sottostante (X11, Wayland, Cocoa o Windows) viene utilizzato solo l'output sopra la finestra radice. <\/p>\n
