Bareflank \u00e8 scritto in C++ e supporta C++ STL. L'architettura modulare di Bareflank consente di espandere facilmente le funzionalit\u00e0 esistenti dell'hypervisor e di creare varianti personalizzate, sia che funzionino su hardware (come Xen) sia che siano eseguite in ambienti software esistenti (come VirtualBox). \u00c8 disponibile la possibilit\u00e0 di eseguire il sistema operativo dell'ambiente host in una macchina virtuale separata. Il codice del progetto \u00e8 distribuito sotto la licenza LGPL 2.1.      <\/p>\n<p>Bareflank supporta Linux, Windows e UEFI su CPU Intel e AMD a 64 bit. Per la separazione hardware delle risorse <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vps\/\"   title=\"macchine virtuali\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2073\">macchine virtuali<\/a> viene utilizzata la tecnologia Intel VT-x. In futuro \u00e8 prevista l'aggiunta di supporto per macOS e sistemi BSD, oltre alla possibilit\u00e0 di operare su piattaforme ARM64. Inoltre, il progetto sta sviluppando un driver proprietario per il caricamento di VMM (Virtual Machine Manager), un caricatore ELF per il caricamento dei moduli VVM e un'applicazione bfm per la gestione dell'hypervisor dallo spazio utente. Viene fornito un toolkit per la scrittura di estensioni utilizzando elementi definiti nelle specifiche C++11\/14, una libreria di gestione delle eccezioni (unwind) e una propria libreria runtime per supportare l'uso di costruttori\/distruttori e la registrazione di gestori di eccezioni.    <\/p>\n<p>Sulla base di Bareflank, \u00e8 in fase di sviluppo il sistema di virtualizzazione Boxy, che supporta l'esecuzione di sistemi guest e consente l'uso di macchine virtuali leggere con Linux e Unikernel per l'esecuzione di servizi o applicazioni specializzate. In forma di servizi isolati possono essere eseguiti sia normali servizi web sia applicazioni con requisiti specifici di affidabilit\u00e0 e sicurezza, isolati dall'influenza dell'ambiente host (l'ambiente host \u00e8 isolato in una macchina virtuale separata). Bareflank \u00e8 anche la base dell'hypervisor MicroV, progettato per l'esecuzione di macchine virtuali minimaliste (<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"macchina virtuale\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4199\">macchina virtuale<\/a> di una singola applicazione), che implementa l'API KVM e si adatta alla creazione di sistemi critici.    <\/p>\n<p>Le principali novit\u00e0 di Bareflank 3.0:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Transizione all'uso del concetto di microkernel. In precedenza, l'ipervisore aveva un'architettura monolitica, che richiedeva l'uso di una API speciale per la registrazione di chiamate di callback per espandere la funzionalit\u00e0, rendendo difficile lo sviluppo di estensioni a causa del legame con il linguaggio C++ e della struttura interna. La nuova architettura basata sul microkernel implica la suddivisione dell'ipervisore in componenti del kernel, eseguiti in modalit\u00e0 ring zero, ed estensioni, eseguite nel terzo anello (spazio utente). Entrambe le parti operano in modalit\u00e0 root di VMX, mentre tutto il resto, incluso l'ambiente host, opera in modalit\u00e0 non-root di VMX. L'abbandono delle dipendenze esterne ha permesso di implementare in Bareflank il supporto nativo per la compilazione su Windows, semplificando lo sviluppo su questa piattaforma.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato aggiunto il supporto per i processori AMD.
