Per il rilascio di Fedora Linux 37 \u00e8 prevista la transizione nell'ambito delle architetture obsolete ARMv7, conosciuta anche come ARM32 o armhfp. Tutti gli sforzi di sviluppo per i sistemi ARM saranno concentrati sull'architettura ARM64 (Aarch64). Questa modifica non \u00e8 ancora stata discussa dal comitato FESCo (Fedora Engineering Steering Committee), responsabile della parte tecnica dello sviluppo della distribuzione Fedora. In caso di approvazione, l'ultima release a supportare i sistemi ARM a 32 bit sar\u00e0 Fedora 36, per la quale gli aggiornamenti verranno forniti fino a giugno 2023. <\/p>\n

Le motivazioni per la cessazione del supporto ad ARMv7 includono il generale ritiro dello sviluppo della distribuzione per i sistemi a 32 bit, poich\u00e9 alcune nuove funzionalit\u00e0 di Fedora, legate al potenziamento della sicurezza e al miglioramento delle prestazioni, sono disponibili solo per architetture a 64 bit. Fino ad oggi, ARMv7 \u00e8 rimasta l'ultima architettura a 32 bit completamente supportata in Fedora (la creazione di repository per l'architettura i686 \u00e8 stata interrotta nel 2019, sono rimasti solo i repository multi-lib per gli ambienti x86_64).
