Il 31 gennaio \u00e8 previsto il rilascio del contenuto associato alla branca CentOS 8, che sar\u00e0 rimosso dai mirror e spostato nell'archivio vault.centos.org.    <\/p>\n<p>CentOS Stream \u00e8 posizionato come progetto upstream per RHEL, consentendo ai partecipanti esterni di controllare la preparazione dei pacchetti per RHEL, proporre modifiche e influenzare le decisioni adottate. In passato, la nuova branca di RHEL si basava su uno snapshot di una delle versioni di Fedora, che veniva sviluppato e stabilizzato dietro porte chiuse, senza possibilit\u00e0 di controllare il progresso dello sviluppo e le decisioni prese. Durante lo sviluppo di RHEL 9, basato sullo snapshot di Fedora 34 e con la partecipazione della comunit\u00e0, \u00e8 stata formata la branca CentOS Stream 9, dove si effettuano i preparativi e si crea la base per una nuova importante variante di RHEL.     <\/p>\n<p>Per CentOS Stream vengono pubblicati gli stessi aggiornamenti preparati per la futura versione intermedia di RHEL, non ancora rilasciata, e l'obiettivo principale degli sviluppatori \u00e8 raggiungere un livello di stabilit\u00e0 di CentOS Stream identico a quello di RHEL. Prima che un pacchetto entri in CentOS Stream, deve passare attraverso diversi sistemi di test automatici e manuali e viene pubblicato solo se il suo livello di stabilit\u00e0 \u00e8 riconosciuto come conforme agli standard di qualit\u00e0 per i pacchetti pronti per la pubblicazione in RHEL. Contestualmente a CentOS Stream, gli aggiornamenti preparati vengono inseriti nelle build notturne di RHEL.     <\/p>\n<p>Si raccomanda agli utenti di migrare a CentOS Stream 8, installando il pacchetto centos-release-stream (\u00abdnf install centos-release-stream\u00bb) ed eseguendo il comando \u00abdnf update\u00bb.
