Lo sviluppo \u00e8 condotto con la partecipazione delle aziende Amazon, Delta Electronics, Marvell, NVIDIA, Edgecore Networks e Wistron NeWeb (WNC). Inizialmente, il progetto \u00e8 stato fondato da Amazon per equipaggiare l'hardware di rete nella propria infrastruttura. Il codice di DentOS \u00e8 scritto in linguaggio C e distribuito con licenza aperta Eclipse Public License.     <\/p>\n<p>Per la gestione del commutazione dei pacchetti in DentOS \u00e8 coinvolto il sottosistema del kernel Linux SwitchDev, che consente di creare driver per switch Ethernet in grado di delegare operazioni di inoltro dei pacchetti e di elaborazione dei pacchetti di rete a chip hardware specializzati. Il software si basa su uno stack di rete Linux standard, sul sottosistema NetLink e su strumenti come IPRoute2, tc (Traffic Control), brctl (Bridge Control) e FRRouting, nonch\u00e9 sui protocolli VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol), LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) e MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol).      <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Rilascio di DentOS 2.0, sistema operativo di rete per switch \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/9426360dce16e4666c54da9c67709ef2.jpg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>          <\/p>\n<p>L'ambiente di sistema si basa sulla distribuzione ONL (Open Network Linux), che a sua volta utilizza un database di pacchetti Debian GNU\/Linux e fornisce un installer, configurazioni e driver per l'esecuzione su switch. ONL \u00e8 sviluppato dal progetto Open Compute e rappresenta una piattaforma per la creazione di dispositivi di rete specializzati, supportando l'installazione su oltre cento modelli diversi di switch. Include driver per interagire con indicatori, sensori di temperatura, ventilatori, bus I2C, GPIO e trasceiver SFP utilizzati negli switch. \u00c8 possibile utilizzare strumenti come IpRoute2 e ifupdown2, oltre a gNMI (gRPC Network Management Interface) per la gestione. Per la definizione delle configurazioni vengono utilizzati modelli di dati YANG (Yet Another Next Generation, RFC-6020).             <\/p>\n<p>Il sistema \u00e8 disponibile per switch basati su ASIC Marvell e Mellanox, che comprendono fino a 48 porte da 10 gigabit. \u00c8 supportato il funzionamento con diversi chip ASIC e chip di elaborazione dei dati di rete, inclusi i chip ASIC Mellanox Spectrum, Marvell Aldrin 2 e Marvell AC3X con implementazione di tabelle di inoltro hardware. Le immagini pronte per l'installazione di DentOS sono preparate per le architetture ARM64 (257 MB) e AMD64 (523 MB).           <\/p>\n<p>Nella nuova versione sono stati aggiunti i seguenti miglioramenti:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto NAT-44 e NA(P)T per la traduzione degli indirizzi (NAT) dall'intervallo interno agli indirizzi pubblici a livello di normali porte (Layer-3, livello di rete) e porte VLAN (ponte di rete) nello switch.\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono state fornite opzioni per la configurazione delle interfacce di rete 802.1Q (VLAN) e la gestione del traffico attraverso di esse. La configurazione utilizza i pacchetti IpRoute2 e Ifupdown2.\n<li class=\"l\"> Aggiunto supporto per i controller PoE (Power over Ethernet) per la gestione dell'alimentazione tramite Ethernet.\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono state apportate modifiche per migliorare le prestazioni e la scalabilit\u00e0 delle configurazioni del firewall.\n<li class=\"l\"> Migliorata la gestione delle risorse basata su ACL. Aggiunto supporto per i flag per il riconoscimento di locali (intranet). <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/lir\/ipv4\/\"   title=\"indirizzi IP\"
