\u00c8 stato rilasciato Linux-distro Zorin OS 16.1, basato su una base di pacchetti Ubuntu 20.04. Il target del sistema \u00e8 rappresentato da utenti principianti abituati a lavorare in Windows. Per gestire l'aspetto grafico, la distribuzione offre un configuratore dedicato che permette di dare al desktop l'aspetto di varie versioni di Windows e macOS. \u00c8 inclusa anche una selezione di software simile a quello con cui gli utenti di Windows sono familiari. Per integrare il desktop con lo smartphone, \u00e8 disponibile l'app Zorin Connect (basata su KDE Connect). Oltre ai repository di Ubuntu, per impostazione predefinita \u00e8 supportato anche l'installazione di software dai cataloghi Flathub e Snap Store. La dimensione dell'immagine ISO di avvio \u00e8 di 2,8 GB (sono disponibili quattro edizioni: quella standard basata su GNOME, la versione 'Lite' con Xfce e le loro varianti per istituti educativi). <\/p>\n

Nella nuova versione sono state aggiornate le versioni dei pacchetti e delle applicazioni utente, incluso il rilascio di LibreOffice 7.3. \u00c8 stata effettuata la migrazione al kernel Linux 5.13 con supporto per l'hardware recente. Aggiornato il stack grafico (Mesa 21.2.6) e i driver per chip Intel, AMD e NVIDIA. Aggiunto supporto per la dodicesima generazione di processori Intel Core, il controller di gioco Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense e il mouse Apple Magic Mouse 2. Migliorato il supporto per dispositivi wireless e stampanti.
