Nel repository in cui avviene lo sviluppo della versione Ubuntu 22.10, \u00e8 stato modificato l'editor di testo predefinito. Invece di GEdit, agli utenti viene presentato un nuovo editor di testo «GNOME Text Editor», realizzato utilizzando GTK 4 e la libreria libadwaita, che offre widget e oggetti pronti per costruire applicazioni conformi alle nuove linee guida GNOME HIG (Human Interface Guidelines) e capaci di adattarsi in modo reattivo a schermi di qualsiasi dimensione. L'editor GEdit precedentemente proposto rester\u00e0 disponibile per l'installazione dal repository universe (per familiarizzare, pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato anche il pacchetto in formato flatpak). <\/p>\n
