Mozilla ha annunciato l'attivazione per impostazione predefinita della modalit\u00e0 di Protezione Totale dei Cookie (Total Cookie Protection) per tutti gli utenti. In precedenza, questa modalit\u00e0 veniva attivata solo durante la navigazione in modalit\u00e0 privata e quando era selezionata la modalit\u00e0 di blocco rigoroso dei contenuti indesiderati. <\/p>\n

Il metodo di protezione proposto prevede l'uso di un'area di memorizzazione isolata per i Cookie per ciascun sito, il che impedisce di utilizzare i Cookie per monitorare gli spostamenti tra i siti. Infatti, tutti i Cookie impostati da blocchi di terze parti caricati nel sito (iframe, js, ecc.) sono associati al sito da cui sono stati caricati e non vengono trasferiti quando si accede a tali blocchi da altri siti. <\/p>\n

In via eccezionale, \u00e8 rimasta la possibilit\u00e0 di trasferire Cookie tra siti per servizi non collegati al monitoraggio degli utenti, come quelli utilizzati per l'autenticazione unica. Le informazioni sui Cookie bloccati e consentiti tra siti sono visualizzate nel menu che appare facendo clic sull'icona a forma di scudo nella barra degli indirizzi.
