\u00c8 disponibile un rilascio correttivo di X.Org Server 21.1.4, che risolve due vulnerabilit\u00e0 nei gestori delle estensioni Xkb, che potrebbero consentire l'innalzamento dei privilegi nel sistema se il server X viene eseguito con diritti di root, o l'esecuzione di codice su un sistema remoto se l'accesso avviene tramite reindirizzamento della sessione X11 tramite SSH. Le vulnerabilit\u00e0 sono causate dalla mancanza di un'adeguata verifica delle dimensioni nei gestori delle richieste ProcXkbSetGeometry (CVE-2022-2319) e ProcXkbSetDeviceInfo (CVE-2022-2320), che possono essere sfruttate per scrivere in un'area di memoria al di fuori del buffer allocato. <\/p>\n

Nel caso di ProcXkbSetGeometry, mancava un controllo sulle dimensioni dei campi di richiesta, il che permetteva al cliente di provocare un overflow specificando nel richiesto un numero di sezioni non corrispondente ai dati effettivamente inviati. Nella gestione di ProcXkbSetDeviceInfo, la vulnerabilit\u00e0 era causata dall'ordine errato di chiamata delle funzioni \u2014 la funzione per controllare i parametri veniva chiamata dopo la funzione in cui questi parametri venivano utilizzati (i nomi delle funzioni erano invertiti, e la funzione XkbSetDeviceInfo includeva codice per il controllo, mentre XkbSetDeviceInfoCheck era per l'impostazione dei valori).
