Google ha annunciato l'ampliamento dell'iniziativa per la concessione di premi in denaro per la scoperta di vulnerabilit\u00e0 nel kernel di Linux. L'importo massimo del premio per una nuova vulnerabilit\u00e0 e la creazione di un exploit funzionante su di essa \u00e8 stato aumentato da 91 a 133 mila dollari. Oltre all'ambiente precedentemente utilizzato kCTF (Kubernetes Capture the Flag) per i tentativi di hacking, sono stati proposti nuovi ambienti: basati sull'ultima versione stabile del kernel di Linux e su una versione del kernel con patch aggiuntive per bloccare metodi comuni di funzionamento degli exploit. <\/p>\n

Per la creazione di exploit che colpiscono l'ambiente con l'ultima versione stabile del kernel, viene corrisposto un premio aggiuntivo di 21 mila dollari. Ulteriori 21 mila dollari possono essere concordati per l'hacking di ambienti con misure di protezione ampliate. Si segnala che le misure di protezione avanzate proposte sono in grado di bloccare 9 delle 10 vulnerabilit\u00e0 emerse lo scorso anno e 10 su 13 exploit in lizza per ricevere il premio.
