Il codice dei progetti \u00e8 distribuito sotto licenza GPLv3 ed \u00e8 disponibile su GitHub (Communist, libcommunist) e GitFlic (Communist, libcommunist). \u00c8 supportato il funzionamento su Linux e Windows.    <\/p>\n<p>Per stabilire la connessione tra gli utenti nel messaggero Communist, viene utilizzata una combinazione di tabella hash distribuita (una variante DHT progettata per client torrent) e la tecnica UDP hole punching (per interagire con host dietro traduttori di indirizzi). Sono supportati i protocolli IPv4 e IPv6. I messaggi possono essere trasmessi tramite ripetitori (consultare la documentazione). Tutti i dati sono memorizzati nella macchina dell'utente in forma crittografata e vengono trasmessi anch'essi in modo crittografato. Per la crittografia vengono utilizzati lo standard AES e lo schema di firma digitale ed25519.    <\/p>\n<p>Tra le modifiche nella nuova versione:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Tutte le funzionalit\u00e0 di rete sono state spostate nella libreria libcommunist.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata aggiunta la funzionalit\u00e0 di ripetitore di messaggi (<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/server\/\"   title=\"un server\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">un server<\/a> e client).\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata effettuata una riorganizzazione
