Il codice dei progetti \u00e8 distribuito con licenza GPLv3 ed \u00e8 disponibile su GitHub (Communist, libcommunist) e GitFlic (Communist, libcommunist). \u00c8 supportato il funzionamento su Linux e Windows.    <\/p>\n<p>Per stabilire una connessione tra gli utenti in Communist si utilizza una combinazione di una tabella hash distribuita (una variante DHT, progettata per i client torrent) e la tecnica UDP hole punching (per interagire con gli host dietro ai traduttori di indirizzi). Sono supportati i protocolli IPv4 e IPv6. I messaggi possono essere inviati tramite relay (vedi documentazione). Tutti i dati sono memorizzati sulla macchina dell'utente in forma crittografata e vengono trasmessi anch'essi in forma crittografata. Per la crittografia vengono utilizzati lo standard AES e lo schema di firma digitale ed25519.    <\/p>\n<p>Tra le novit\u00e0 nella nuova versione:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Tutte le funzionalit\u00e0 di rete sono state trasferite nella libreria libcommunist.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata aggiunta la funzionalit\u00e0 di relay dei messaggi (<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/server\/\"   title=\"server\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">server<\/a> e client).\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata effettuata una riorganizzazione generale del
