L'azienda Microsoft ha annunciato l'implementazione della possibilit\u00e0 di utilizzare il gestore di sistema systemd in ambienti Linux destinati all'esecuzione su Windows tramite il sottosistema WSL. Il supporto per systemd ha ridotto i requisiti per le distribuzioni e ha avvicinato l'ambiente fornito in WSL alla situazione di esecuzione delle distribuzioni su hardware standard. <\/p>\n

In precedenza, per funzionare in WSL, le distribuzioni dovevano utilizzare il gestore di inizializzazione fornito da Microsoft, eseguito con PID 1 e che garantiva la configurazione dell'infrastruttura per organizzare l'interazione tra Linux e Windows.
