Per il sistema operativo open source Haiku, che prosegue lo sviluppo delle idee di BeOS, \u00e8 stata preparata un'interfaccia per garantire la compatibilit\u00e0 con Wayland, che consente di eseguire toolkit e applicazioni che utilizzano questo protocollo, inclusi i programmi basati sulla libreria GTK.
