\u00c8 stato presentato un aggiornamento del progetto Yuzu con l'implementazione di un emulatore per la console Nintendo Switch, capace di eseguire giochi commerciali forniti per questa piattaforma. Il progetto \u00e8 basato sui sviluppatori di Citra, l'emulatore della console Nintendo 3DS. Lo sviluppo avviene tramite il reverse engineering dell'hardware e del firmware della Nintendo Switch. Il codice di Yuzu \u00e8 scritto in C++ e distribuito con licenza GPLv3. Le build pronte sono state preparate per Linux (flatpak) e Windows. <\/p>\n

Dei 2699 giochi testati nell'emulatore, 644 mostrano un livello di supporto ideale (tutto funziona come previsto), per 813 \u00e8 buono (possono verificarsi piccoli problemi con l'audio e la grafica), 515 \u00e8 accettabile (in generale \u00e8 possibile giocare, ma sono evidenti problemi pi\u00f9 rilevanti con l'audio o la grafica), 327 \u00e8 scarso (pu\u00f2 avviarsi, ma i problemi presenti ostacolano il completamento del gioco), 311 si ferma solo alla schermata di avvio\/menu, 189 si chiude in modo anomalo immediatamente dopo l'avvio. <\/p>\n

Yuzu emula solo l'hardware, \u00e8 necessario anche un dump del firmware originale di Nintendo Switch, un dump dei giochi dalle cartucce e le chiavi per decifrare i file di gioco, che possono essere ottenute avviando la console in modalit\u00e0 RCM con un bootloader esterno Hekate. Per un'emulazione completa della console \u00e8 necessario un CPU con supporto alle istruzioni SIMD FMA e 6 o pi\u00f9 core\/threads (come requisiti minimi sono stati indicati i CPU Intel Core i5-4430 e AMD Ryzen 3 1200, mentre i raccomandati sono l'Intel Core i5-10400 o l'AMD Ryzen 5 3600), 8 GB di RAM e una scheda grafica che supporti l'API grafica OpenGL 4.6 o Vulkan 1.1 (almeno NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 2GB, AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB, Intel HD 5300 8GB, AMD Radeon R5).
