Si segnala inoltre l'aggiornamento del progetto GE-Proton7, nell'ambito del quale gli appassionati stanno creando build avanzate indipendenti da Valve per eseguire applicazioni Windows con Proton, caratterizzate da una versione pi\u00f9 recente di Wine, dall'uso di FFmpeg in FAudio e dall'inclusione di patch aggiuntive che risolvono problemi in varie applicazioni di gioco. Nella versione Proton GE 39 \u00e8 stata effettuata la migrazione a una nuova base di codice di Wine, dxvk, mono e vkd3d (da Git), portando correzioni per risolvere problemi in giochi come Gears 5, Overwatch 2, Sonic Adventures 2, Farcry 5 e Origin.
