A differenza della categoria \u00abunstable\u00bb, nella categoria \u00abstaging\u00bb \u00e8 vietato apportare modifiche che compromettono la compatibilit\u00e0, tuttavia, nel caso vengano rilevati problemi e difetti durante i test, non si esclude la sostituzione con una nuova versione significativa del protocollo o un'estensione di Wayland diversa.          <\/p>\n<p>La nuova versione \u00e8 stata pubblicata una settimana dopo il rilascio di Wayland-Protocols 1.30, che ha introdotto il supporto per il protocollo tearing-control per disabilitare la sincronizzazione verticale. Nella versione 1.31, \u00e8 stato aggiunto il protocollo fractional-scale alla categoria \u00abstaging\u00bb, che consente al gestore dei compositori di trasmettere valori di scaling frazionari per le superfici, permettendo al cliente di determinare dimensioni di buffer pi\u00f9 precise per gli oggetti wp_viewport, rispetto alla trasmissione di informazioni di scala arrotondate. Nei programmi multimediali, la comparsa di artefatti a causa di tearing \u00e8 un effetto indesiderato, ma nei programmi di gioco pu\u00f2 essere tollerata se la sua risoluzione comporta aumenti di
