L'azienda Intel ha avviato i test di un aggiornamento significativo dei driver per Windows Intel Arc Graphics Driver 31.0.101.3959 per schede grafiche con GPU Arc (Alchemist) e Iris (DG1), nonch\u00e9 per GPU integrate fornite in processori basati sull'architettura micro Tiger Lake, Rocket Lake, Alder Lake e Raptor Lake. Le modifiche pi\u00f9 rilevanti nella nuova versione riguardano il miglioramento delle prestazioni dei giochi che utilizzano DirectX 9. Si prevede che le ottimizzazioni siano state realizzate grazie all'implementazione nel driver di codice proveniente dal progetto open source DXVK, che fornisce uno strato con l'implementazione di DXGI (DirectX Graphics Infrastructure), Direct3D 9, 10 e 11, funzionante tramite la traduzione delle chiamate nell'API Vulkan. <\/p>\n

Il riferimento a DXVK \u00e8 apparso in un file che elenca progetti open source di terze parti il cui codice \u00e8 stato utilizzato nel driver. Inoltre, in un video che discute le modifiche relative al supporto di DirectX 9, viene citato che questo API \u00e8 realizzato attraverso la traduzione delle chiamate in un'API grafica pi\u00f9 moderna, mentre proprio per tale traduzione si sviluppa DXVK.
