L'azienda Intel ha avviato i test di un aggiornamento significativo dei driver per Windows Intel Arc Graphics Driver 31.0.101.3959 per le schede grafiche con GPU Arc (Alchemist) e Iris (DG1), cos\u00ec come per le GPU integrate fornite nei processori basati sulle microarchitetture Tiger Lake, Rocket Lake, Alder Lake e Raptor Lake. Le modifiche pi\u00f9 rilevanti in questa nuova versione riguardano il miglioramento delle prestazioni nei giochi che utilizzano DirectX 9. Si prevede che le ottimizzazioni siano state implementate grazie all'integrazione nel driver del codice dal progetto open source DXVK, che fornisce uno strato con l'implementazione di DXGI (DirectX Graphics Infrastructure), Direct3D 9, 10 e 11, operante tramite la traduzione delle chiamate nell'API Vulkan. <\/p>\n

Il riferimento a DXVK \u00e8 apparso in un file che elenca progetti open source di terze parti il cui codice \u00e8 stato utilizzato nel driver. Inoltre, in un video che descrive le modifiche relative al supporto di DirectX 9, si fa riferimento al fatto che questa API \u00e8 implementata tramite la traduzione delle chiamate in un'API grafica pi\u00f9 moderna, mentre DXVK si sviluppa proprio per tale traduzione.
