In Qt 6.5 verr\u00e0 aggiunta l'interfaccia QNativeInterface::QWaylandApplication per un accesso diretto agli oggetti nativi di Wayland, utilizzati nelle strutture interne di Qt, oltre a fornire accesso alle informazioni sulle ultime azioni dell'utente, utili per le estensioni del protocollo Wayland. La nuova interfaccia \u00e8 implementata nello spazio dei nomi QNativeInterface, che offre anche chiamate per accedere alle API native delle piattaforme X11 e Android. In futuro, sono previste interfacce aggiuntive come QWaylandWindow per l'accesso a basso livello alle finestre e QWaylandScreen per l'accesso alle uscite dello schermo (wl_output), attualmente considerate sperimentali e nascoste nell'area QNativeInterface::Private.
