Lo sviluppo della distribuzione openSUSE Leap 15.5 \u00e8 entrato nella fase di beta testing. Il rilascio \u00e8 stato creato sulla base di un insieme di pacchetti, comune alla distribuzione SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP 5, e include anche alcune applicazioni utente dal repository openSUSE Tumbleweed. \u00c8 disponibile per il download un'immagine DVD universale di 4,3 GB (x86_64, aarch64, ppc64les, 390x). Il rilascio di openSUSE Leap 15.4 \u00e8 previsto per l'inizio di giugno 2023. <\/p>\n

Tra le novit\u00e0 in openSUSE Leap 15.5 si segnala l'aggiornamento a KDE Plasma 5.27, Python 3.10, mdadm 4.2. \u00c8 stato aggiornato il graphic stack e Mesa. Per impostazione predefinita \u00e8 abilitato il repository per l'installazione del codec video OpenH264. La versione del kernel Linux non \u00e8 cambiata (5.14.21). \u00c8 stata aggiunta la possibilit\u00e0 di una migrazione rapida alla nuova versione dagli rilasci precedenti.
