Gli sviluppatori di Debian hanno annunciato il test di un nuovo repository non-free-firmware, dal quale sono stati trasferiti i pacchetti firmware dal repository non-free. Nel secondo rilascio alfa dell'installer di Debian 12 \u201cBookworm\u201d \u00e8 stata fornita la possibilit\u00e0 di richiedere dinamicamente i pacchetti firmware dal repository non-free-firmware. Avere un repository separato per i firmware consente di accedere ai firmware senza includerli nei supporti di installazione del repository non-free generale. <\/p>\n
