Il principio fondamentale di questa distribuzione \u00e8 che \"tutto funziona senza problemi\"; per avere un ambiente completamente operativo, basta caricare LibreELEC da una chiavetta USB. L'utente non deve preoccuparsi di mantenere il sistema aggiornato: la distribuzione utilizza un sistema di caricamento e installazione automatica degli aggiornamenti che si attiva quando ci si connette a Internet. \u00c8 prevista la possibilit\u00e0 di espandere le funzionalit\u00e0 della distribuzione tramite un sistema di componenti aggiuntivi, che vengono installati da un repository dedicato sviluppato dagli sviluppatori del progetto.       <\/p>\n<p>Il sistema operativo non utilizza il repository di pacchetti di altri distribuitivi, ma si basa su sviluppi propri. Oltre alle funzionalit\u00e0 standard di Kodi, il sistema offre una serie di funzioni aggiuntive mirate a semplificare al massimo l'operativit\u00e0. Ad esempio, \u00e8 in fase di sviluppo un apposito componente di configurazione che consente di impostare i parametri di connessione di rete, gestire le impostazioni degli schermi LCD e abilitare o disabilitare l'installazione automatica degli aggiornamenti.
