Nel kernel di Linux sono state scoperte due vulnerabilit\u00e0 (CVE-2023-1281, CVE-2023-1829) che consentono a un utente locale di elevare i propri privilegi nel sistema. Per condurre l'attacco sono necessari diritti di creazione e modifica dei classificatori di traffico, accessibili con i diritti CAP_NET_ADMIN, ottenibili con la possibilit\u00e0 di creare spazi dei nomi degli identificatori utente (user namespace). I problemi si manifestano a partire dal kernel 4.14 e sono stati risolti nella versione 6.2. <\/p>\n

Le vulnerabilit\u00e0 sono causate da accessi alla memoria dopo la sua liberazione (use-after-free) nel codice del classificatore di traffico tcindex, parte del sottosistema QoS (Qualit\u00e0 del servizio) del kernel Linux. La prima vulnerabilit\u00e0 si verifica a causa di una condizione di competizione durante l'aggiornamento di filtri hash non ottimali, mentre la seconda vulnerabilit\u00e0 si presenta durante la rimozione di un filtro hash ottimale.
