Per utilizzare DXVK \u00e8 necessaria la presenza di driver che supportano l'API Vulkan 1.3, come Mesa RADV 22.0, NVIDIA 510.47.03, Intel ANV 22.0 e AMDVLK. DXVK pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per eseguire applicazioni e giochi 3D su Linux tramite Wine, fungendo da alternativa pi\u00f9 performante alle implementazioni integrate in Wine di Direct3D 9\/10\/11, che operano sopra OpenGL.        <\/p>\n<p>Variazioni principali:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata aggiunta la supporto per il layer D3D11On12, che consente a Direct3D 11 di funzionare sopra Direct3D 12. Per supportare D3D12 nei nuovi giochi basati sul motore Unity, come Lego Builder's Journey, DXVK ha implementato la possibilit\u00e0 di creare dispositivi D3D11 a partire da dispositivi D3D12, utilizzando la funzione D3D11On12CreateDevice e l'interfaccia ID3D11On12Device.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nell'implementazione di Direct3D 9 \u00e8 stato aggiunto il supporto per la visualizzazione parziale (Partial Presentation), che permette di gestire la rappresentazione di parti della finestra tramite la copia del contenuto del buffer di retroilluminazione (backbuffer) nella memoria di sistema e la successiva visualizzazione in finestra, utilizzando la CPU. Questa funzionalit\u00e0 migliora la compatibilit\u00e0 con i lanciatori di giochi creati con lo strumento Microsoft WPF, a scapito delle prestazioni. Per Direct3D 9 \u00e8 stato inoltre migliorato il comportamento generale dei framebuffer virtuali (SwapChain) e interrotta la supporto per l'opzione d3d9.noExplicitFrontBuffer.\n<li class=\"l\"> Utilizzando insieme a Proton o Wine, per impostazione predefinita \u00e8 stata interrotta la creazione di file di log e organizzata l'uscita di messaggi diagnostici nella console utilizzando funzionalit\u00e0 specifiche di Wine, in linea con il comportamento di vkd3d-proton.
