Il codice di Snagboot \u00e8 scritto in linguaggio Python ed \u00e8 distribuito sotto licenza GPLv2.    <\/p>\n<p>La maggior parte delle piattaforme embedded, in caso di danneggiamento del firmware, fornisce interfacce funzionanti tramite USB o UART per ripristinare il funzionamento e trasferire l'immagine di avvio, ma queste interfacce sono specifiche per ciascuna piattaforma e richiedono l'uso di utilit\u00e0 di ripristino legate a prodotti di singoli produttori. Snagboot funge da alternativa a utilit\u00e0 specializzate, per lo pi\u00f9 proprietarie, per il ripristino e la reflashing dei dispositivi, come STM32CubeProgrammer, SAM-BA ISP, UUU e sunxi-fel.     <\/p>\n<p>Snagboot \u00e8 progettato per funzionare con un'ampia gamma di schede e dispositivi embedded, esonerando cos\u00ec gli sviluppatori di sistemi embedded dall'obbligo di apprendere le specifiche relative all'uso di diverse utilit\u00e0. Ad esempio, la prima versione di snagboot pu\u00f2 essere utilizzata per il ripristino di dispositivi basati su SoC ST STM32MP1, Microchip SAMA5, NXP i.MX6\/7\/8, Texas Instruments AM335x, Allwinner
