Rilasciata la distribuzione Slackel 7.7, basata sui progetti Slackware e Salix, completamente compatibile con i repository offerti. La principale differenza di Slackel \u00e8 l'uso di un ramo Slackware-Current costantemente aggiornato. L'ambiente grafico si basa su Openbox. La dimensione dell'immagine di avvio, capace di funzionare in modalit\u00e0 Live, \u00e8 di 2,7 GB (i386 e x86_64). <\/p>\n

Il nuovo rilascio \u00e8 sincronizzato con il ramo current di Slackware e viene fornito con il kernel Linux 6.1.57. Sono state aggiornate le versioni dei programmi, ad esempio firefox 118.0.2, thunderbird 115.3.2, exaile 4.1.1, smtube 21.10.0, smplayer 23.6.0, MPlayer 20221009, libreoffice 7.6.2, filezilla 3.65.0, pidgin 2.14.12, transmission 2.94, gimp 2.10.34, openjre 19.0.2.u7. Sono disponibili nuove versioni delle applicazioni sviluppate dal progetto: l'applicazione Instonusb 2.0 per creare live-builds, il configuratore slackel control-center 3.0, oltre alle interfacce grafiche per l'aggiornamento del kernel nelle installazioni che utilizzano il disco interno (install-upgrade-kernel) e il supporto USB esterno (install-upgrade-kernel-ext-usb).
