In MPV, l'attenzione principale \u00e8 rivolta allo sviluppo di nuove funzionalit\u00e0 e al continuo trasferimento di innovazioni dai repository di MPlayer, senza preoccuparsi di mantenere la compatibilit\u00e0 con MPlayer. Il codice di MPV \u00e8 distribuito sotto la licenza LGPLv2.1+, mentre alcune parti rimangono sotto GPLv2; tuttavia, il processo di transizione a LGPL \u00e8 quasi completato e per disabilitare il codice rimanente sotto GPL \u00e8 possibile utilizzare l'opzione &#171;&#8212;enable-lgpl&#187;.    <\/p>\n<p>Tra le modifiche nella nuova versione:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel modulo ao_oss
