Nel stack telefonico open source oFono sviluppato da Intel, utilizzato per effettuare chiamate, trasmettere dati tramite operatori mobili e inviare SMS su piattaforme come Tizen, Ubuntu Touch, Mobian, Maemo, postmarketOS e Sailfish\/Aurora, sono state scoperte due vulnerabilit\u00e0 che consentono l'esecuzione di codice durante l'elaborazione di SMS appositamente formattati. Le vulnerabilit\u00e0 sono state risolte nella versione oFono 2.1. <\/p>\n

Entrambe le vulnerabilit\u00e0 sono causate dall'assenza di un'adeguata verifica della dimensione dei dati esterni nel codice di decodifica dei messaggi SMS nel formato PDU, cosa che pu\u00f2 essere sfruttata per scrivere dati oltre il buffer allocato. La prima vulnerabilit\u00e0 (CVE-2023-4233) si manifesta nella funzione sms_decode_address_field(), mentre la seconda (CVE-2023-4234) in decode_submit_report().
