Nel codice di base, da cui \u00e8 tratto il kernel Linux 6.8, \u00e8 stato adottato un insieme di modifiche che migliorano notevolmente le prestazioni dello stack TCP. In scenari in cui vengono gestite molte connessioni TCP simultanee, l\u2019accelerazione pu\u00f2 raggiungere il 40%. <\/p>\n

Il miglioramento \u00e8 stato possibile grazie alla disposizione delle variabili nelle strutture dello stack di rete (socks, netdev, netns, mibs) che era stata determinata da motivi storici. La revisione dell'allocazione delle variabili nelle strutture, finalizzata a migliorare l'efficienza dell'accesso alla cache del processore (riducendo l'uso delle righe della cache durante la trasmissione dei dati) e ottimizzando l'accesso alle variabili ha portato a un notevole incremento della velocit\u00e0 del TCP, specialmente in caso di un gran numero di connessioni TCP simultanee.
