Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, il tanto atteso rilascio LTS del sistema operativo di Canonical, promette di portare una serie di ottimizzazioni delle prestazioni per l'ambiente desktop GNOME. Oltre alle patch per il triple buffering di GNOME, che non sono ancora incluse nella versione principale di Mutter, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS e Debian pianificano di implementare ulteriori ottimizzazioni delle prestazioni. Daniel van Vugt di Canonical continua a lavorare sul triple buffering e ha recentemente presentato un piccolo redesign del codice.<\/p>\n
