Il rilascio si basa sul codice sorgente di Wine 9.0, come indicato nel numero di versione. I progressi del progetto sono distribuiti sotto licenza LGPL-2.1.    <\/p>\n<p>Il progetto consente di ottenere prestazioni notevolmente superiori rispetto all'esecuzione di Wine interamente in modalit\u00e0 di emulazione, poich\u00e9 con Hangover l'emulatore viene utilizzato solo per l'esecuzione del codice dell'applicazione stessa, mentre tutte le chiamate di sistema, le librerie e i componenti di Wine vengono eseguiti al di fuori dell'emulatore nello stato nativo per la piattaforma attuale (Hangover interrompe la catena di emulazione a livello di chiamate a win32 e wine). Nello strato di emulazione possono essere utilizzati emulatori come QEMU, FEX e Box64, a seconda delle preferenze dell'utente. \u00c8 iniziato il lavoro di supporto per l'emulatore Blink, ma non \u00e8 ancora completato.    <\/p>\n<p>Tra le novit\u00e0 nella versione 9.0:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata implementata la possibilit\u00e0 di utilizzare QEMU insieme allo strato WoW64 (Windows-on-Windows a 64 bit) disponibile in Wine, che consente di eseguire applicazioni Windows a 32 bit in sistemi Unix a 64 bit. \u00c8 stato fornito supporto per le architetture x86_32 e ARM32.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato aggiunto il supporto per l'uso dell'emulatore FEX in formato PE e nelle build per Unix. In futuro si prevede di interrompere l'uso delle build Unix di FEX in favore delle build in formato PE.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata garantita l'integrazione completa con l'emulatore Box64.\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono stati raccolti pacchetti deb pronti per Debian 11 e 12. In futuro si prevede di avviare la pubblicazione di pacchetti per Ubuntu e Alpine Linux.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 iniziato il lavoro per garantire l'esecuzione di applicazioni Windows in ambienti basati sull'architettura RISC-V.\n<li class=\"l\"> Si sta lavorando per ripristinare il supporto per l'emulazione dell'architettura x86_64 per eseguire applicazioni Windows a 64 bit (nella branch 0.8 era rimasto solo il supporto per i386 a causa della non disponibilit\u00e0 di ARM64EC in Wine).   <\/ul>\n<p>Inoltre, si pu\u00f2 notare la formazione della versione del progetto Wine Staging 9.0, che fornisce raccolte avanzate di Wine, incluse patch non completamente pronte o rischiose, finora inadatte per l'inclusione nel ramo principale di Wine. Rispetto a Wine, Wine Staging offre 505 patch aggiuntive.
