Claudio Jeker (Claudio Jeker (claudio@)) ha aggiunto al kernel di OpenBSD il driver mwx per schede wireless basate sui chip Mediatek MT7921 e MT7922 (supporta lo standard 802.11ax). Nella sua attuale versione, il driver \u00e8 ancora in fase di sviluppo e non \u00e8 utilizzabile in sistemi operativi di produzione. Ad esempio, la scansione delle reti e la ricezione dei pacchetti funzionano normalmente (scan + rx), ma attualmente la trasmissione dei pacchetti (tx) non \u00e8 operativa. Durante lo sviluppo viene utilizzato il chip MT7921. \u00c8 stata dichiarata un'ulteriore supporto per il chip MT7922, ma lo sviluppatore attualmente non ha l'hardware necessario per il collaudo. <\/p>\n

Qualche giorno fa, \u00e8 stato incluso in OpenBSD-current anche il driver qwx per chip wireless Qualcomm IEEE 802.11ax, sviluppato attraverso il porting del driver ath11k dal kernel Linux. Attualmente, il driver supporta solo i modi 11a\/b\/g. Il funzionamento del driver \u00e8 stato verificato su laptop Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 4, Lenovo T14s Ryzen Pro 7 e Thinkpad P 16s Gen.1.
