Le descrizioni dei blocchi hardware sono realizzate in SystemVerilog, mentre il progetto della scheda \u00e8 stato preparato con il software di progettazione elettronica open source KiCAD. Nella sua attuale configurazione, il GPU FuryGpu consente gi\u00e0 di avviare il gioco Quake con una performance di rendering di 60 FPS a una risoluzione di 1280 x 720.     <\/p>\n<p>Il progetto \u00e8 in fase di sviluppo dal 2021 come hobby di un programmatore specializzato nello sviluppo di videogiochi e interessato all'hardware. Gli schemi della scheda, le descrizioni in Verilog e i driver non sono ancora disponibili pubblicamente, ma l'autore del progetto ha dichiarato l'intenzione di rendere disponibili tutte le risorse relative a FuryGpu dopo aver chiarito alcune questioni legali con il proprio datore di lavoro (questo chiarimento \u00e8 necessario per proteggersi da eventuali rivendicazioni da parte del datore di lavoro).     <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Il progetto FuryGpu sviluppa GPU basate su FPGA.\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/02cc2c1f50d250f791abdc3c009294f9.jpg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>    <\/p>\n<p>Nell'attuale fase di sviluppo, le capacit\u00e0 del FuryGpu si confrontano con quelle di una scheda grafica avanzata della met\u00e0 degli anni '90. La funzionalit\u00e0 della GPU \u00e8 definita da un insieme di funzioni fisse, mentre l'esecuzione di shader software non \u00e8 ancora supportata, con un focus particolare sui componenti per il rendering, rasterizzazione e gestione delle texture. Per l'esecuzione delle operazioni grafiche \u00e8 fornito un proprio API grafico chiamato FuryGL, simile all'API Vulkan, ma non compatibile a causa della mancanza di supporto per shader.
