Valutando la popolarit\u00e0 delle principali distribuzioni Linux, \u00e8 stata fatta la conclusione che circa 14 milioni di utenti utilizzano Xfce. Nella stima sono state utilizzate le seguenti ipotesi:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Il numero totale di utenti Linux \u00e8 stimato in 120 milioni.\n<li class=\"l\"> Circa il 33% degli utenti Linux utilizza sui propri PC Ubuntu o distribuzioni basate su di esso. Pertanto, il numero totale di utenti di Ubuntu \u00e8 di 40 milioni (nove anni fa, secondo i dati di Canonical, erano 20 milioni di utenti). In base ai risultati di un sondaggio, circa il 15% degli utenti di Ubuntu installa Xubuntu, ovvero 15% di 40 milioni = 6 milioni di utenti di Xubuntu.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se si ipotizza che il 10% degli utenti delle distribuzioni diverse da Ubuntu utilizzi Xfce, si ottengono ulteriori 8 milioni di utenti (10% di 80 milioni).\n<li class=\"l\"> Su gitlab.xfce.org ci sono circa 6000 account di
