Nelle versioni nightly di Firefox, su cui verr\u00e0 basato il rilascio di Firefox 126 il 14 maggio, \u00e8 stata introdotta la possibilit\u00e0 di tradurre automaticamente i frammenti di testo selezionati sulla pagina (in precedenza era supportata solo la traduzione dell'intera pagina). La funzione di traduzione viene attivata tramite il menu contestuale che appare facendo clic con il tasto destro del mouse sul blocco di testo selezionato. Per attivare la traduzione dei frammenti, \u00e8 stata aggiunta l'impostazione browser.translations.select.enable in about:config, che \u00e8 disattivata per impostazione predefinita.

Inoltre, nelle versioni nightly \u00e8 disponibile la possibilit\u00e0 di tradurre in russo, ucraino ed estone, che nelle versioni stabili possono essere utilizzati solo come lingue di origine da cui avviene la traduzione. Per la traduzione \u00e8 utilizzato il sistema di traduzione integrato in Firefox, che esegue la traduzione sulla sistema locale dell'utente senza fare affidamento su servizi cloud esterni. Il sistema si basa sul motore open source Bergamot, che \u00e8 un'interfaccia sopra il framework di traduzione automatica Marian, utilizzando reti neurali ricorrenti (RNN) e modelli linguistici basati su trasformatori.
