\u00c8 stata pubblicata una versione sperimentale dello strumento di gestione dei pacchetti APT 2.9 (Advanced Package Tool), che costituisce la funzionalit\u00e0 della futura versione stabile APT 3.0. Una volta stabilizzata, questa versione sar\u00e0 integrata in Debian Testing e sar\u00e0 inclusa nel prossimo importante rilascio di Debian, oltre a essere aggiunta nel repository di pacchetti di Ubuntu. \u00c8 interessante notare che la stabilizzazione della precedente versione sperimentale APT 2.7 \u00e8 ancora in corso e non \u00e8 stato ancora rilasciato APT 2.8, che si era pianificato di utilizzare in Debian 13. <\/p>\n

La versione APT 2.9 presenta un'interfaccia utente rinnovata, che rappresenta in modo chiaro l'elenco delle dipendenze necessarie per il download durante l'installazione del pacchetto. In aggiunta, si pu\u00f2 notare l'approvazione da parte degli sviluppatori della distribuzione Debian della nuova versione delle linee guida per la formattazione dei pacchetti \u2014 Debian Policy 4.7.0.0, che prevede la creazione di un repository separato per i firmware non liberi, l'uso di collegamenti rigidi nei pacchetti sorgente e la regolamentazione della limitazione dell'accesso alla rete per le build automatiche di pacchetti nei rami contrib e non free. <\/p>\n
