Questo dispositivo si collega alle porte HDMI e USB di un server o di una workstation, permettendo di gestirli da remoto tramite rete, indipendentemente dal sistema operativo. \u00c8 possibile accendere e spegnere l'host, configurare il BIOS e persino reinstallare completamente il sistema operativo utilizzando un emulatore di CD-ROM o una chiavetta USB. Tutte le funzionalit\u00e0 sono disponibili attraverso un'interfaccia web, che non richiede plugin o applet aggiuntivi, e implementata solo con HTML5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elenco delle modifiche pi\u00f9 importanti<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La modalit\u00e0 di trasmissione video tramite WebRTC\/H.264 ha ricevuto un notevole incremento delle prestazioni ed \u00e8 ora utilizzata per impostazione predefinita. Per 1080p, il ritardo \u00e8 di circa 150ms a 30fps stabili. La modalit\u00e0 MJPEG, comunque disponibile come fallback, \u00e8 stata anch'essa notevolmente accelerata.<\/li>\n<li>Aggiunta la possibilit\u00e0 di copiare il testo dallo schermo tramite il riconoscimento delle immagini.<\/li>\n<li>Aggiunta l'autenticazione a due fattori basata su TOTP.<\/li>\n<li>L'emulatore di unit\u00e0 flash virtuali ora supporta la modalit\u00e0 di scrittura per le immagini dal lato host. Aggiunto il supporto NFS per l'organizzazione di uno storage centralizzato di immagini di sistema.<\/li>\n<li>Aggiunta l'utility <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.pikvm.org\/edid\">per la configurazione dell'EDID<\/a>, rendendo pi\u00f9 semplice il tuning dei parametri principali dell'emulatore dello schermo (risoluzioni e audio).<\/li>\n<li>Aggiunta una funzione sperimentale <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.pikvm.org\/usb_dynamic\">di configurazione dinamica dell'emulatore USB<\/a>, che consente di accendere e spegnere i gadget componenti, come tastiere, mouse, rete via USB e altro.<\/li>\n<li>Completamente riscritte e migliorate le istruzioni passo-passo per le assemblaggi DIY: <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.pikvm.org\/v1\">per Raspberry Pi 2-3<\/a> e <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.pikvm.org\/v2\">Pi 4<\/a>. Il supporto per Raspberry Pi 5 non \u00e8 ancora previsto a causa dell'assenza di encoder video hardware.<\/li>\n<li>Introduzione di un nuovo emulatore HID basato su <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.pikvm.org\/pico_hid\/\">Raspberry Pico<\/a> per sostituire quello obsoleto su Arduino. Oltre a USB, ora supporta tastiere e mouse PS\/2.<\/li>\n<li>Aggiunti nuovi moduli GPIO per l'integrazione con switch per implementare un KVM over IP multi-port.<\/li>\n<li>Le patch di PiKVM che migliorano il funzionamento dei dispositivi HID virtuali e Mass Storage sono state accolte nel kernel di Linux.
