Oracle ha pubblicato il rilascio della distribuzione Oracle Linux 8.10, basata sul pacchetto Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10. Sono disponibili per il download senza restrizioni le immagini ISO di installazione di 14 GB e 1 GB, preparate per le architetture x86_64 e ARM64 (aarch64). Oracle Linux offre accesso illimitato e gratuito al repository yum con aggiornamenti binari delle patch (errata) e dei problemi di sicurezza. Sono inoltre disponibili moduli Application Stream supportati per il download separatamente. <\/p>\n

Oltre al pacchetto del kernel incluso in RHEL (basato sul kernel 4.18), Oracle Linux propone il proprio kernel Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 7 Update 2, basato sul kernel Linux 5.15 e ottimizzato per funzionare con software e hardware industriale di Oracle. I codici sorgente del kernel, compresi i singoli patch, sono disponibili in un repository Git pubblico di Oracle.
