In VKD3D-Proton sono supportate modifiche, ottimizzazioni e miglioramenti specifici per Proton, per un funzionamento di qualit\u00e0 superiore dei giochi Windows basati su Direct3D 12, che attualmente non sono stati adottati nel codice principale di vkd3d. Tra le differenze viene anche evidenziata l'orientamento verso l'uso delle moderne estensioni Vulkan e delle capacit\u00e0 delle ultime versioni dei driver grafici per raggiungere la piena compatibilit\u00e0 con Direct3D 12.  <\/p>\n<p>Tra le novit\u00e0 nella nuova versione:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono state implementate le funzionalit\u00e0 definite nel modello shader 6.8, come i parametri degli shader di vertici HLSL SV_StartInstanceLocation e SV_StartVertexLocation, supporto per i range nell'attributo WaveSize e funzionalit\u00e0 di texturizzazione avanzate.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata garantita la compatibilit\u00e0 con il supporto delle specifiche OpenVR e OpenXR introdotto in Proton 9.0-2 per il funzionamento con visori di realt\u00e0 virtuale.\n<li class=\"l\"> Utilizzando l'estensione Vulkan VK_KHR_maintenance6, \u00e8 stata assicurata una corretta gestione delle richieste di rendering senza buffer degli indici.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata realizzata l'estensione Vulkan VK_MESA_image_alignment_control, il cui utilizzo consente di ridurre il consumo di memoria sui sistemi con GPU AMD.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata implementata l'estensione Vulkan VK_EXT_device_address_binding_report.\n<li class=\"l\"> Implementazione dell'estensione Vulkan<br \/>\nVK_NV_low_latency2 \u00e8 stata riprogettata per eliminare il buffering durante l'elaborazione di flussi con identificatori di fotogrammi non sequenziali.<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono state apportate ottimizzazioni delle prestazioni e del consumo di memoria.\n<li
