Grazie al lavoro dello sviluppatore con il soprannome di dalme, QEMU su Haiku ora supporta l'accelerazione hardware.<\/p>\n<p>Il progetto \u00e8 stato indirizzato al porting dell'ipervisor NVMM da DragonFlyBSD a Haiku. Questo consente a QEMU di utilizzare le estensioni hardware per la virtualizzazione del processore, come Intel VT-x, che potenzialmente garantisce prestazioni <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vps\/\"   title=\"macchine virtuali\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2170\">macchine virtuali<\/a>, simili a quelle native.<\/p>\n<p>Le principali conquiste del progetto includono:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Porting del frontend NVMM e del backend VMX su Haiku<\/li>\n<li>Aggiunta del supporto per le Extended Page Tables (EPT) nel kernel di Haiku<\/li>\n<li>Adattamento di QEMU per lavorare con NVMM su Haiku<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sebbene l'implementazione non sia ancora completata, i primi test mostrano risultati promettenti. Sistemi operativi semplici e bootloader possono ora essere avviati con accelerazione hardware su Haiku. Tuttavia, sistemi pi\u00f9 complessi, come lo stesso Haiku o Xubuntu, non funzionano ancora.<\/p>\n<p>Lo sviluppatore segnala un miglioramento significativo delle prestazioni su hardware reale dopo la correzione di un errore legato all'EPT, sebbene alcuni problemi di stabilit\u00e0 persistano. Il supporto per la multiprocessorit\u00e0 \u00e8 ancora in fase di sviluppo; attualmente QEMU si arresta in modo anomalo quando si attiva l'SMP.<\/p>\n<p>Questo progetto rappresenta un passo importante nello sviluppo delle capacit\u00e0 di virtualizzazione di Haiku. Man mano che vengono risolti i problemi rimanenti, gli utenti di Haiku possono aspettarsi un notevole miglioramento delle prestazioni nell'esecuzione di macchine virtuali tramite QEMU.<\/p>\n<p>Il
