In Linux From Scratch sono fornite istruzioni su come creare da zero un sistema Linux di base, utilizzando solo il codice sorgente del software necessario. Beyond Linux From Scratch integra le istruzioni LFS con informazioni su come assemblare e configurare oltre 1000 pacchetti software, che coprono diverse aree applicative, da database, sistemi di virtualizzazione, un ampio set di applicazioni per sviluppatori, fino a interfacce grafiche.    <\/p>\n<p>In Linux From Scratch 12.2 sono stati aggiornati 45 pacchetti e aggiunto un nuovo pacchetto lz4, tra gli aggiornamenti Glibc 2.40, kernel Linux 6.10.5, binutils-2.43.1, gcc-14.2.0, systemd-256.4, SysVinit-3.10 e altri.     <\/p>\n<p>\u00c8 stata pubblicata contemporaneamente la traduzione dei manuali Linux From Scratch 12.2-SysV e Linux From Scratch 12.2-systemd in lingua russa. A causa di problemi occasionali nel download di alcuni pacchetti, i sorgenti dei pacchetti necessari sono stati collocati nel repository (wget-list, md5sums sono allegati).    <\/p>\n<p>In Beyond LFS sono stati effettuati oltre 1750 aggiornamenti, inclusi numerosi cambiamenti di testo per migliorare la leggibilit\u00e0. Tra le principali modifiche, l'aggiornamento di KDE5 (Frameworks, Gear, Plasma) a KDE6. GNOME \u00e8 stato aggiornato alla versione 46, KDE Plasma alla 6.1.4, LXQt alla versione 2.0.0.
