Nella mailing list del kernel Linux \u00e8 stato pubblicato un insieme di patch per implementare la possibilit\u00e0 di compilare il kernel Linux per l'architettura ARM64 in un ambiente macOS utilizzando gli strumenti di compilazione standard basati su LLVM. Oltre alla modifica degli script di compilazione nel kernel e all'inclusione di ulteriori file di intestazione in diversi file di codice, per la compilazione \u00e8 anche necessaria l'installazione su macOS di un pacchetto con file di intestazione specifici per l'ambiente Linux (byteswap.h, elf.h ed endian.h).
