\u00c8 stato rilasciato un aggiornamento per la distribuzione Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS, che include miglioramenti nel supporto hardware, aggiornamenti del kernel Linux e correzioni di errori nell'installer e nel bootloader. Sono inclusi anche aggiornamenti attuali per centinaia di pacchetti, volti a risolvere vulnerabilit\u00e0 e problemi di stabilit\u00e0. Sono stati rilasciati aggiornamenti simili per Kubuntu 22.04.5, Ubuntu Budgie 22.04.5, Ubuntu MATE 22.04.5, Lubuntu 22.04.5, Ubuntu Kylin 22.04.5, Ubuntu Studio 22.04.5 e Xubuntu 22.04.5. <\/p>\n

L'uscita include alcuni miglioramenti portati dalla versione Ubuntu 24.04. In particolare, sono offerti pacchetti con kernel 6.8 per i servizi cloud di Google, Oracle, AWS e Azure, cos\u00ec come per la piattaforma RISC-V e le configurazioni che richiedono basse latenze (low latency). Per le altre situazioni sono continuati a fornire i kernel 6.5 e 5.15. Sono state aggiornate le versioni dei pacchetti cloud-init 24.2, openldap 2.5.18, dpdk 21.11.6, squid 5.9, snapd 2.63.1, Rust 1.75, xdg-desktop-portal-gnome 42.1 e nvidia-graphics-drivers. \u00c8 stato aggiunto il supporto per nuovi dispositivi Synaptics. Sono state aggiunte le build ubuntu-desktop e ubuntu-desktop-minimal per l'architettura RISC-V. <\/p>\n

Utilizzare la build presentata ha senso solo per hardware obsoleto; per i nuovi sistemi, si raccomanda di usare il rilascio pi\u00f9 recente di Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS al posto della versione 22.04. I sistemi installati in precedenza possono ricevere tutte le modifiche presenti in Ubuntu 22.04.5 tramite il sistema di aggiornamenti predefinito. Il supporto per aggiornamenti e correzioni di sicurezza per le edizioni server e desktop di Ubuntu 22.04 LTS durer\u00e0 fino ad aprile 2027, dopo di che ci saranno aggiornamenti per altri 7 anni nell'ambito di un supporto separato a pagamento (ESM, Extended Security Maintenance).
