\u00c8 disponibile il rilascio del progetto Input Leap 3.0.0, che sviluppa un commutatore KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) software, permettendo di utilizzare una sola tastiera e mouse per controllare pi\u00f9 computer in rete, simulando un collegamento fisico al sistema. Input Leap si \u00e8 separato nel 2021 dal progetto Barrier a causa di problemi di supporto dell\u2019ultimo. A sua volta, Barrier \u00e8 stato creato come fork del progetto Deskflow, che continua a svilupparsi attivamente. Il codice dei progetti \u00e8 scritto in C++ e distribuito sotto licenza GPLv2. <\/p>\n

Per utilizzare Input Leap \u00e8 sufficiente installare il pacchetto sui sistemi da gestire e sul computer su cui si trova fisicamente l'utente. Su tutti i sistemi viene eseguita la stessa applicazione, ma sul sistema con tastiera e mouse viene tradotta in modalit\u00e0 server<\/a>. \u00c8 supportato il controllo dei sistemi basati su Linux, Windows, macOS e FreeBSD. \u00c8 possibile utilizzare un'area di appunto condivisa. <\/p>\n

Input Leap 3.0.0 \u00e8 stata la prima release significativa dopo il fork. Il miglioramento chiave nella nuova versione \u00e8 stata l'implementazione della possibilit\u00e0 di lavorare in ambienti basati sul protocollo Wayland (le capacit\u00e0 di traslazione in XWayland sono ancora limitate). Grazie allo sviluppo del supporto per Wayland, gli strumenti di controllo remoto basati su Input Leap sono stati precedentemente integrati in GNOME 45. Tra le modifiche in Input Leap 3.0.0 si segnala anche la possibilit\u00e0 di costruire utilizzando Qt 6, il supporto per la selezione del ramo Qt (5.x o 6.x) durante la costruzione e l'aggiunta di nuovi convertitori per X11, che consentono di trasferire tramite l'area di appunto immagini nei formati png, tiff, jpg e webp.
