Dopo una pausa di quattro anni, \u00e8 stata annunciata la ripresa del concorso IOCCC (International Obfuscated C Code Contest), volto a scrivere il codice pi\u00f9 contorto e difficile da interpretare nel linguaggio C. L'evento IOCCC28 sar\u00e0 il quarantesimo nella storia del concorso, che si tiene dal 1984. Le opere saranno accettate dal 31 gennaio al 2 aprile 2025. A differenza dei concorsi precedenti, da ora in poi nel codice sorgente \u00e8 consentito utilizzare la codifica UTF-8. <\/p>\n

I lavori partecipanti al concorso devono, da un lato, ostacolare l'analisi del codice e la comprensione della sostanza del problema da risolvere, ma, dall'altro lato, il codice deve essere interessante e poter offrire qualcosa di rilevante (le opere possono avere una presentazione insolita o mettere in evidenza aspetti inaspettati del linguaggio C). La dimensione del codice sorgente del programma non deve superare i 4096 byte e il programma deve compilarsi e svolgere un'azione sensata. Ad esempio, negli anni scorsi sono stati creati vari giochi, un emulatore IBM PC, un server HTTP, un sistema di riconoscimento del testo, un motore di ray tracing, un generatore PDF.
