\u00c8 stata pubblicata la versione 2.53.20 del pacchetto di applicazioni web SeaMonkey, che unisce in un unico prodotto un browser web, un client di posta elettronica, un sistema di aggregazione di feed RSS\/Atom e un editor WYSIWYG per pagine HTML chiamato Composer. Come componenti aggiuntivi preinstallati, sono offerti il client IRC Chatzilla, un insieme di strumenti per sviluppatori web chiamato DOM Inspector e il calendario\/pianificatore Lightning. Nella nuova versione sono stati incorporati correttivi e modifiche dalla base di codice attuale di Firefox (SeaMonkey 2.53 si basa sul motore del browser Firefox 60.8 con il porting delle correzioni di sicurezza e alcuni miglioramenti dalle attuali branch di Firefox). <\/p>\n

Nella versione 2.53.20 \u00e8 stata proposta una nuova implementazione del gestore dei segnalibri, basata sull'interfaccia della Libreria di Firefox. \u00c8 stata aggiunta un'interfaccia al configuratore per la personalizzazione dello schema di colori, che modifica il parametro browser.display.prefers_color_scheme. Nell'installer \u00e8 stata garantita la registrazione dei tipi MIME gestiti da SeaMonkey. <\/p>\n

\u00c8 stata effettuata una grande pulizia del codice sorgente del client IRC Chatzilla e sono state risolte le lacune riscontrate durante il processo. Ad esempio, invece dei gestori arrayContains, arrayIndexOf, arrayRemoveAt e arrayInsertA, in Chatzilla viene utilizzato l'oggetto Array nativo, invece del gestore stringTrim \u2014 il metodo Trim dell'oggetto String di JavaScript, e invece del gestore fopen \u2014 l'API LocalFile. Sono stati risolti i problemi nell'utilizzo del protocollo IRC su TLS.
